Glacier is a great place for mountain climbing especially if you are new to the sport as many of the peaks can be easily climbed without any special gear.
It is not a requirement but the park prefers you register before making any mountain climb. Weather can change quickly and a number of climbers have lost their lives due to unexpected changes in weather.
